02 / EXPERTISE

Three disciplines, one operating standard: plan rigorously, coordinate honestly, report what's true.

01

Project & Programme Leadership

Rigorous planning, governance and delivery, from first risk register to final funding report.

Project and Programme Management

I lead cross-functional and international projects from planning through delivery, drawing on over 12 years of experience across research consulting, digital marketing and nonprofit partnership work. My approach centres on building rigorous project plans, milestone trackers, risk registers, change management plans and stakeholder management frameworks, using tools including Jira, Confluence, Asana, BaseCamp and Microsoft Project. I currently lead the City Partnerships workstream for an NGO running a global peace initiative across more than 100 cities, part of a broader track record coordinating with NGOs, city governments and cultural organisations on mission-driven, multi-stakeholder programmes.

Risk Management and Project Governance

I build comprehensive risk registers as a standard part of project setup, not as an afterthought, identifying and mitigating partnership and operational risks before they surface as delays. At Live Peace, this discipline improved project governance across a workstream spanning over 100 cities. Structured status reporting and clear escalation paths are, in my experience, what actually keeps a distributed project honest.

Research Design and Grant Proposal Development

Over more than five years as an independent Research Project Consultant, I delivered over 200 client projects end to end, including research reports, grant proposals and feasibility studies, while holding scope, timeline and quality steady throughout. Each engagement started with proposal development, budget management and a Gantt chart-based schedule, and finished with documentation rigorous enough to influence real funding and policy decisions. Volume like that only stays high quality if the process behind it is genuinely repeatable.

02

Stakeholder & Global Operations

Coordinating people, process and partnerships across time zones, languages and cultures.

Global Stakeholder Engagement and Cross-Cultural Communication

I have led stakeholder discussions and requirements analysis across genuinely distributed teams, coordinating projects from Kenya with stakeholders in Massachusetts and, more recently, managing partnerships from Switzerland with city governments and cultural organisations worldwide. Fluent in English, native in Swahili and building intermediate German, I work comfortably across languages as well as time zones. This is not a theoretical remote-work claim: it is how every one of my last three roles has actually operated.

Operations and Process Optimisation

My track record includes designing and improving operational workflows to boost efficiency and remove bottlenecks, from streamlining dispatch and delivery coordination early in my career to clearing research backlogs and lifting documentation quality in consulting work. I have built content calendars, tracking systems and reporting structures that improved day-to-day operations across both corporate and independent client engagements, applying the same process improvement discipline in every context. The result is a consistent pattern: whichever operation I touch, the handoffs get cleaner and the backlog gets shorter.

Business Development and Operational Efficiency

Early in my career, I strengthened dispatch coordination and delivery processes at a courier services company, contributing directly to cost-saving initiatives and a stronger digital presence through website and social media updates. I also supported business planning through documentation and internal communication that kept a small, fast-moving operation aligned. It was a useful place to learn that operational efficiency is built in small, unglamorous corrections, not grand overhauls.

03

Data, Technology & Innovation

Turning analytics, cloud fundamentals and AI tooling into faster, sharper delivery.

Digital Project Management and Data-Driven Reporting

Across end-to-end digital projects, from campaign scoping and execution through performance evaluation, I build KPI dashboards and reporting frameworks that turn raw analytics into action. This work has contributed to measurable results including a 25% increase in brand engagement and a 15% rise in sales, achieved while overseeing WordPress, SEO and multi-channel marketing operations. Reporting, for me, is only useful if it changes what happens next.

Cloud Fundamentals and Technical Project Delivery (Azure)

Certified in Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900), I bring practical exposure to Azure Virtual Machines, Storage Accounts, Virtual Networks, Network Security Groups, Microsoft Entra ID and Azure Monitor. This bridges my traditional project management strengths with emerging cloud infrastructure knowledge, positioning me for tech-enabled project delivery and digital transformation initiatives. It is a deliberate bet: the project managers who understand the infrastructure their teams build on will lead the next decade of delivery.

AI-Augmented Project Delivery

Rather than waiting for generative AI to reshape project management from the outside, I have completed multiple Project Management Institute courses on prompt engineering and practical generative AI application for project managers. I am applying these tools to speed up status reporting, risk drafting and stakeholder documentation without lowering the bar on accuracy. Certifications aside, the honest test is whether the AI makes the plan better, and I hold my own use of it to that standard.
